Queen's for a Cure - Rayin Swentik 2018/19
My name is Rayin Swentik and I am 13 years old. Since October 2012, I have had the pleasure of working with a group of girls and women across Washington State to bring awareness and raise funds to help find a cure for breast cancer. I compete in a benefit pageant called Queens for a Cure.
Queens for a Cure encourages girls of all ages to bring awareness about breast cancer and help raise money for the cause. Since October 2012 I have raised $10,000 during the month of October. This enabled me to participate in the Susan G Komen Puget Sound Race for a Cure.
Race for a Cure has thousands of participants each year from across the State. Out of all of those people raising money I made the Top 100 Fundraisers Club 4 times. I am proud of this accomplishment, I knowing my hard work is helping others and saving lives.
I think that it is important that we continue to support the fight against breast cancer because it can affect children, women and men of all ages. I have a goal of reaching $1,000 $1,500 during the month of October, while also volunteering and helping around the community.
